![]() ![]() The security permissions for uBlock ORIGIN state under SAFARI > PREFERENCES > EXTENSIONS > "Can read sensitive information from webpages, including passwords, phone numbers, and credit cards on all webpages, and can see when you visit all pages." ![]() So I'm now extremely wary of the security warnings within Safari for none of the basic ad blockers, but that are listed under more advanced blockers like uBlock ORIGIN. Problem is, I'm increasingly more security conscious about all the data breaches and hacking that goes on within, well, what seems like virtually every app. So for newbies only: If you don't see the word ORIGIN immediately after you see uBlock, you are NOT downloading uBlock ORIGIN, which is its actual name, not merely a description. We too often make it far too confusing and have all the information scattered everywhere. ![]() Have always preferred uBlock ORIGIN (in caps, because most people are newbies and STILL think uBlock and uBlock ORIGIN are the same extension.) That's not to sound elitist. ![]()
