I swore I wasn’t going to play any Flappy type games but Flappy Golf really isn’t anything like the original or all the rip-off games out there. It’s very simple but also quite challenging trying to flap your way to the hole in as little flaps as possible. Tap either the left or right button to flap the ball up and keep flapping to keep it afloat. Instead, the flappy control simplify the game to just left and right flaps. It’s still golf, but you no longer have to calculate angle and strength of a hit. The object of the game is to try to get the golf ball into the hole using the minimum amount of flaps. It’s a challenging game on its own but what happens when you add Flappy Bird like mechanics to it? It basically becomes a fun round of speed golf. If you’ve ever played and of the Super Stickman Golf games, then you know how fun they are and despite the 2D look of the game, the underlying golf physics is very good. Their latest game, Flappy Golf, takes the level from Super Stickman Golf 2, but adds new “flappy” mechanics creating an entirely new type of game. Of course, there are those who actually took the whole “flappy” idea and made something unique and fun our of it and one of them is Noodlecake Studios, developers of the popular Super Stickman Golf series of games. You’ve probably also seen and noticed the many, many Flappy Bird rip offs out that seek to capitalize on the popularity for the game. I’m sure many of you have heard of Flappy Bird and how the game is no longer on the App Store.
